As part of iOS 26.5, which was released on Monday, Apple added support for end-to-end encrypted RCS messaging in beta, meaning that Apple and Google can't see your messages while they're sent. </p>

Apple had famously moved on from Intel-powered computers with its highly successful transition to Apple Silicon, but now it appears the two companies will be working closely together again.</p>
<p class="has-text-align-none">Intel appointed Lip-Bu Tan as its new CEO <a href="https://centraltech.webbfinanceiro.com/news/628539/intel-new-ceo-lip-bu-tan-pat-gelsinger">in March 2025</a>, and in August, the US government took <a href="https://centraltech.webbfinanceiro.com/news/764480/intel-donald-trump-lip-bu-tan-deal">a 10 percent stake</a> in the company.  </p>
<p class="has-text-align-none">The WSJ says that it's "still unclear" what Apple products will get Intel chips. Intel spokesperson Kiana Ducey declined to comment. Apple didn't immediately reply to a request for comment.</p>

<p class="has-drop-cap has-text-align-none">II know I'm not the only person who wants a MacBook Pro for Windows: a sleek, ultra powerful, super portable machine with an excellent screen and high-quality build. Samsung's Galaxy Book6 Ultra certainly tries. It's got a beautiful screen and a nice design, and it's as solidly built as laptops come.</p>
<p class="has-text-align-none">It also looks, well, almost exactly like a MacBook Pro, to the point where I occasionally use the wrong keyboard shortcuts out of habit. Other Windows laptops have at times incorporated some MacBook design influences, but the Galaxy houses <em>so many of them</em> that it's obvious what Samsung was going for.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-none">Nearly five years after it launched, the 13 Mini is still the best phone ever made. That hasn't changed; it's just that <em>I </em>changed. And as painful as it is to admit this, after using it again for a couple of weeks, I think it's time to put my iPhone 13 Mini to rest.</p>
<p class="has-text-align-none">The Mini is an underdog. An outlier. It's <a href="https://centraltech.webbfinanceiro.com/2021/3/10/22322843/iphone-12-mini-apple-low-production-numbers-decrease">a weird little phone</a> that Apple tried to sell twice, couldn't, and <a href="https://centraltech.webbfinanceiro.com/2023/9/12/23868428/iphone-13-mini-lineup-discontinued-apple-event">promptly gave up on</a>. If you pick it up after using any modern phone it's laughably small. A tiny baby phone in a world of Maxes and Ultras. </p>
